This Teacher Gets an A+ in Style
Yes, it is time…whether you jump for joy at the start of school or cringe at the sound of the bell, Labor Day signifies the end of summer and the start of the school year. So much focus is typically put onto our children, but I want spotlight the unsung heroes: the fantastic teachers who instill the love of learning into today’s youth.
These dedicated men and women are individuals in their own right, very busy, and have their own sense of style. Dressing in the morning can be a mad rush and, unless you lay out your outfits out the night before like your mama told you, a shot in the dark. But for this young teacher, Monica, style is as fundamental as the three R’s!
As Monica says:
I like to follow new trends and wear them at work! I have no fears trying a new trend and trusting my instinct on what looks right. I definitely always wear things that are comfortable, particularly shoes since I am on my feet all day, and either pants or long dresses…I have to sit on the carpet a lot as I’m working with the kids. But I love the impracticality of some fashion statements and will still wear those as a teacher, such as platforms, chokers, and overalls that came back in style!
Teacher Uniform
The typical uniform includes pants, a cute top, and a sweater. Layering can be key when spending time in air conditioning then outside in the sun or snow, depending upon the season.
