New Ladies At The Nest!
Right before Covid hit, two of my employees moved. Since it was such a volatile time, I didn’t replace them. I’ve also had a few employees not want to come back due to health issues. A few are moving on to other things. So, I needed to do some hiring! I wanted to introduce the new ladies and have them say a little something about themselves so that customers will be able to recognize them!
Meet Vicki! I met her through my Buy Nothing group, and we became fast friends. I asked her if she’d be interested in a weekend day here and there, and she said yes! Yay! She’s a district manager for J. Jill, so I’m not worried about her taking too long to catch on. She’s been in retail her whole life.
Ally responded to the ad I sent via email. I normally don’t hire one so young, but she so impressed me with her maturity during her interview. She’s caught on quickly and is a complete gem.
“My name is Ally DelDonna, and I’m an Alexandria native. Recently, I graduated from Bishop O’Connel High School and will be attending the University of Richmond in the upcoming fall. Some of my favorite pastimes include shopping, walking, cooking, and trying new things. I love working at Kiskadee and helping clients put together stylish outfits.”
I advertised on one of the local Buy Nothing off shoot groups, and that’s how I found Steph. She’s been awesome as well and has picked up things quickly!
“Hi, I’m Steph! I’m a student at George Mason and originally from California. I moved to Alexandria a year ago and totally fell in love with the area. I’m already enjoying working with the team at Kiskadee!”
Moira also responded to the ad I sent via email. She’s been a customer ever since she moved to Del Ray a few years ago. She just started, and we’ve already discovered she has amazing customer service.
“I am a former assistant manager of a Talbots store. I’m a recent transplant from Boston with three adult children. I love fashion, assisting others with their outfits, and shopping!”
