New Line Alert: Cleobella
When I travel, whether it be for work or fun, I love to check out local boutiques. It’s nice to see what stores similar to mine carry and how they merchandise things. Even though Kiskadee has been around a long time, I’m still pretty new at this. I’m coming up on four years in April, and I’m still learning so much. I love using other stores in other cities as research projects.
One brand I saw several times and fell in love with is Cleobella. They make really beautiful clothes, and the price point isn’t obscene. As with most lines, we have to place our orders for spring between September and October, depending on the brand. So, when I was looking at this line, I wondered if by spring people would want to dress up again for parties, weddings, and maybe even graduations. I took a leap and hoped that maybe they would. Perhaps not as much as years past, but at least a little bit.
Cleobella is all handmade in Bali and uses traditional tooling, weaving, dyeing, and beading to create uniquely beautiful pieces. We just received our first shipment of Cleobella and it’s as gorgeous as I thought it would be. I really love all of the pieces and am even more excited for next month’s order.
