Mother’s Day brunch is something I’ve always done with just my mom. We turned it into a girls day. When I lived in Maine we would go to this little French restaurant and order crepes. My mother would use her French skills to order the whole thing in French, while I sat back and laughed at the waitress who certainly did not speak French. Oh, I just love Mother’s Day. This year it will be a bit late, now that I’ve relocated from New England to Alexandria, I’ll be meeting her down south for a cousin’s wedding. We decided we will keep up the tradition a week late.
