The Perfect Skirt

You walk into a store, you find the perfect piece that you can wear a million different ways. You take it home and you end up wearing it until it is almost threadbare. What percentage of items in your closet can you say that about?

This almost never happens. Why?

We shop impulsively without a plan…to satisfy what exactly? These impulses may feel great at the moment, but if you only end up wearing the item once, doesn’t that defeat the purpose?

I find myself writing about how to wear items more than one way, time and time again. Not entirely because I have a lack of imagination on other subjects (ha ha) but because I truly feel this is such an important component of one’s wardrobe and style. How can you reinvent items and wear them many different ways?

This Nicole Miller Skirt is one I rave about because it is that go-to item you can wear a million different ways. We normally stock it in black, but for something a little different we opted for olive green for fall. Great with black or brown booties and the perfect transitional color.
