December Happenings at The Hive & The Shoe Hive
We’re down to just one day left in November and we have a lot of things to tell you about – maybe a little too much.
First off, today is our first-ever Cyber Monday promotion at The Hive and The Shoe Hive. It actually started on Sunday night at 7pm. We finally have a website that’s fancy enough to accommodate a discount. All you have to do is use the code CYBER30 when you check out and 30 percent will be taken off your purchase – and yes, that means an additional 30 percent off already marked down items. You can pick local delivery, pick up, or we ship, of course! You can even select a gift wrap option when you check out.
Then December 1, it is time for two of our favorite holiday promotions: Give-A-Gift-Get-A-Gift and the 12 Days of Gifting.
This is the fourth year of our Give-A-Gift-Get-A-Gift promotion. Starting December 1 – December 24, for every $250 you spend, you get a $50 gift card that can be redeemed starting January 1 – February 28. So, the more you spend, the more you get, and you can keep it for yourself or gift it to a friend. The only “catch” is you must hold onto it! We can’t keep track of them in our system, so that card is like money!
Next up is our 12 Days of Christmas promotion. I always like to up my game every year and last year we rented a sleigh, had fake snow, and a video to announce each day. Well, I have no clever ideas this year. Call it a casualty of COVID. Usually, I start the process in August when we go to the gift show and I find items or visit with my representatives about what they have that I can use for the promotion. Since that didn’t happen, I am going to do this year a little bit different.
Each day starting December 1, we will announce a different deal at 10am and each one is only available if you call or if you come in. Then at 7pm, if any of the items are left, we will put them online. The deal could be on a single item for the day or maybe even a certain brand. Let’s be honest: as I write this, I am not even yet sure what all 12 days will be. But we will not let COVID stop the 12 Days of Christmas!
