Adina Reyter at The Shoe Hive
Remember Add-a-Bead necklaces? I had one in the 80s, and I was obsessed! I regret that I have no idea what happened to it. A few years back, I met with Meaghan of Alex & Co. when we did some custom pieces for the store. We tried to figure out how to do something similar to Add-a-bead, but a little thing called cash stopped us. I just love the idea of customizing things and adding as you go to mark significant dates or just the joy of building something you love. Bottom line – it would have been a major investment to create, and so we tabled it for the time. Alex & Co. was capable, but I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted.
Well, a few months ago, the Adina Reyter spring line sheet landed in my inbox, and I was so excited about their newest collection – the bead collection. It was exactly what I had in my head but even better. Not only are there solid gold beads, pave diamond beads, and diamond baguette beads, there are enamel ones as well. I love the addition of color, which is something I had never even considered. We have a preset option if you want an easy place to start and you can always add on and take off depending on what you want!
Not only are we introducing the Bead Party from Adina, we are hosting a trunk show featuring items from all their collections. I love the new Barnacle collection, but of course, the “Heavy Metal” collection is near and dear to my heart since I have an affinity for all things chunky and gold. Adina is known for her delicate pieces, and I wear a gold cross from her essentials collection every day, I literally only take it off when I go to Sarah Akram.
We perfectly timed this event so items would arrive in time for Mother’s Day, and we think any of the pieces are perfect for both high school and college graduation. Really, they are just perfect for any reason you have to celebrate, or you just want to celebrate yourself, we all deserve a treat now and again.
