There is a phrase uttered often in our area, and frequently by me, “I am just so busy.” It is true, we all are. Well, at least we think we are until you meet Mercy Schlapp. Mercy Schlapp, is an Alexandria resident and the co-founder of Cove Strategies, a public affairs firm located in Old Town. You might also recognize her because she is a frequent political commentator on CNN, FOX, and MSNBC. Oh, and did I forget to mention that she is the mother of 5 beautiful girls ranging in age 3 to 12. Throw in a husband and two dogs and this is the definition of someone who is really busy. I am actually in awe of how she does it all. Because not only does she do it all, she does it all with kindness, with a smile on her face that is infectious. And she manages to look great the whole time.
When Alicia came to me with the idea of having a Julia Farr trunk show at The Shoe Hive we were talking about who represented the perfect Julia Farr customer. Mercy immediately came to mind. A professional woman who wants to look great, build a wardrobe with classic and versatile pieces, but doesn’t have time to shop around. Julia Farr created this clothing line to solve this problem.
