what to wear: girls night out
When girls get together, style gets amped up. I’m not sure exactly what to make of this nor do I dare speculate. In the business of styling, there is always more of an effort for the outfits when the girlfriends are getting together.
Coco Blanca has the most amazing pair of silk pants from Ecru. Anytime I find clothing that can double as loungewear, I’m immediately intrigued and then start to consider the ways I can bridge such items into the mainstream attire of daily life. I’ve been considering how I would wear these ultra luxe palm pants beyond a silk shirt or tank. Below, I’ve incorporated a bone leather vest (also from Coco Blanca) to add just an ounce of edge. A sleeveless ensemble requires that you love or at least like your arms (nothing that Adrien’s pull ups won’t cure!). My rule of thumb is to keep your hair and makeup understated when opting for leather. It will keep your look youthful and spontaneous ~ just like an evening with good girlfriends.
