two birds, one stone: shopping for summer and fall

I already told you about my pre-vacation shopping excursion at Kiskadee, but what I haven’t told you is that I also paid a visit to The Shoe Hive and Zoe Boutique.

At The Shoe Hive, I discovered Supergas, the most adorable sneakers. They come in an array of colors, but I was torn between the navy blue (more practical) and the bright green (more fun). Of course, I wasn’t looking for evening wear, but the red heels with the gold tip and the gold peep-toe heels caught my eye. I always wait until the first crisp day to think about those purchases and by then my size is always sold out. I must try to remember that. I am sure I am the only person who consistently waits until just before my vacation (always in August) to buy a swimsuit! Can you say, “Holy polka dot?!” Once again, I will be wearing my suit from 2009.

At Zoe, I found an adorable blue and white striped top with patches on the elbows. Love! (It is so cool that two other members of the Stylebook team own it too!) I also found a tweed dress for fall (buy things early, remember?). I love the exposed zipper in back. It really does need to be a fall dress for me…my knees–and a recent birthday–were telling me that the length of the dress requires I wear tights. I guess now I have an excuse to pick up the Wolford tights I have been eyeing at The Shoe Hive!

Thanks to the Stylebook stores, I was stylin’ in Greece in August and have made progress in building my fall wardrobe too!
