sweater weather: cold weather sweater pairings
In just a few more days, I will be heading to London where I will be living several months out of the year. Though I expect the weather to be chilly, I’m looking forward to exploring the city’s museums and art galleries, so I’ll need to pack plenty of cozy sweaters. And, of course, a selection of jewels to pair with them!
These are a few definite pairings on my packing list:
Pearl button-down cardigan and choker: A classic and timeless pairing that is perfect for a luncheon or afternoon tea at Claridge’s.
Cashmere pullover and a long statement piece: A casual and effortless style perfect for running errands around the city, and picking up lunch at Ottolenghi in my new neighborhood.
Cape and a choker: A dynamic duo fit for exploring the latest exhibition at the V&A Museum … a must-see for Elizabeth Todd of The Shoe Hive … as the latest collection is titled, “Shoes: Pleasure and Pain.”
Cable knit and a lariat: Sophisticated but far from boring. These delicate drop necklaces have become regulars in my jewelry wardrobe and will be perfect for antique hunts at the Portobello Road Market.
Long line sweater vest and druzy stones: Two of the season’s hottest trends. And what better place to show them off while gliding under the stars to Jazz Skate at Somerset House with Fortnum & Mason!
Duster cardigan and a pearl lariat: This look is perfect for lounging inside by the fire or for Sunday brunch with friends at The Wolseley.
Tie-dye cashmere and chunky pearls: A funky cashmere, a furry vest, and a chunky pearl silk lariat. All I’ll need is a pair of skinny jeans with tall boots, and I’m all set for an evening at Annabel’s.
