spring style rules

While we are still officially in the dead of winter, fashion always looks forward and we are very focused on spring. A change of season inevitably brings about an assessment of my current wardrobe, especially when faced with all of the beautiful new pieces arriving daily at Kiskadee. I am reminded to go back to the basics:

1. Play up solids.

Solids don’t have to be boring. These wide-leg beach pants by Lilly ($118), for example, are very flattering on everyone–trust me–and will carry you through the entire summer.

2. Play up your figure.

If you have curves, flaunt them. If you want curves, fake them. It’s that simple. This green dress with bell sleeves does just this, and for only $89.

3. Play with prints, carefully.

Prints are still very in. When are they not, right? But there are bad prints. Ensure that you find ones that are strategically placed to flatter. If not, they can cause major harm! This Lilly top ($148) is a great example of a well-placed print thanks to a little color blocking.
