Spa Day At Home
I am a huge fan of relaxation. Having a high-stress job (not my job at Bellacara, that is my fun job) takes its toll daily, and so it is very important for me to de-stress and relax in the evening. Now, I am the furthest thing from a therapist, but I have found for myself that a happier Abby is a nicer Abby, and a nicer Abby brings me happiness. It comes full circle. So, when I get home, my ritual consists of washing the grime off, unwinding with some good Spanish Guitar on Alexa, and a can of our CBD infused soda waters. In the age of COVID, spas have pretty much come to a standstill, so it was essential for me to bring a spa experience into my own home.
I start with this amazing sleep body wash from Indie Lee. The calming notes of lavender and Moroccan Chamomile promote instant calmness, and the act of lathering this all over with my loofah is intoxicating.
Have time for a soak in the tub? The Dream Weaver bath soak from Musee will calm aching muscles with Epsom and dead sea salt. Plus, shea nut, grapeseed, and lime oil will infuse your body with moisture.
I love body oils at night. They are a little too oily in the daytime, so I tend to use them in the evening. The heat between the covers helps the oils to sink in, and you wake up silky smooth. This is my go-to body oil because the relaxing scent will lull you to sleep.
As you all know, we all use Augustinus Badar face creams. Although it works magic, I still love to seal in that goodness with a good face oil. The two I love are the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Oil and the Indie Lee Overnight Facial Oil. Both smell like lavender, which is shown to promote tranquility. Bonus: Indie Lee’s formula is clean!
When I have a little anxiety leftover from the day, I reach for the Sprig CBD-Infused Sparkling Soda or the Hemp-infused Recess Sparkling Water. It calms my nerves and balances my thoughts.
And last but not least, I love to sleep in a cocoon of calm. Spritz this Sleep Mist high above the air to create a calming environment for sleep.
