the shoe hive’s look: pool party

I’d like to believe that it isn’t coincidental that I received an invitation to the first pool party of the year the day before the highs hit the 80s. At the end of the month, friends have invited us over to celebrate the start of the summer and there is no better way to do that than by grilling out, getting some sun and breaking in the pool for the first time this year! This event requires a dress that can double as a cover up and minimal gold accessories. Assuming it will be warm, I don’t want to look and feel overdressed or overaccessorized. I will likely opt for a hat of some kind too–but more on that next week in our “All hats are not for all people” post!
