marisa’s wish list

Untitled-4

I just love everything about the Holidays – the food, the decorations, the music, spending time with family, and, of course, opening presents. And man oh man have I been good this year! A much deserved recipient of gifts, if I do say so myself. If you’re anything like me, your wish list to Kris Kringle has already been sent. Right about now he’s checking it twice while using his Waze app to safely reach each shopping destination, because let’s face it, those reindeer won’t be parallel parking the streets of Old Town anytime soon.

kiskadee

His first stop? Kiskadee, where he will find one gorgeous color blocked poncho. A key in this season’s play with layering and proportions, this particular poncho is perfect because of its cape feel and, unlike its predecessors, is not bulky. It can easily be worn during the day running errands or paired with skirt and boots for a night out.

cococo

After Santa collects my poncho, he makes his way to Coco Blanca where he will find one extremely soft and cozy gray blanket scarf. Winter comes with a lot of musts in terms of looks, and scarves are among them (and quite a necessary one, I might add). How do you wear a blanket scarf? Imagine you’re home and you’re cold, snuggled up on the couch watching TV, and you just pull a blanket over your shoulders. THAT’s the idea. Effortless. Très Parisian. OR you could just tie it up around your neck until your warm enough. No strategic knotting. No rules. Remember, effortless.

theshoehive

At his third stop he arrives at The Shoe Hive. He doesn’t even have to look at the list to know which pair of shoes I’m after. Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee “Mane” boots. We at DC Style Factory can’t stress our love of accentuating the leg-line enough. And contrary to popular belief, over the knee boots can lengthen the leg line and be worn by women of all heights. Now I’m 5’10, so accentuating the leg line isn’t an issue for me, but if you’re petite, pair your over-the-knee boots with fitted, structured pieces that show your shape. Any height can rock these tall glasses of water.

bellacara

Santa knows I can’t neglect my skin, especially this time of the year. His fourth and final stop is at Bellacara. I have pretty dry skin and during the cold winter months it needs extra moisture. I told Santa to pick me up some Rilastil Aqua Optimale. It’s perfect for dry, dehydrated skin like mine because it uses both sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid) and sodium hydrolyzed hyaluronate, so it can get deeper into skin. Hyaluronic acid pulls water into the skin, making it look smoother and more plump, and, of course, hydrated. Merry Christmas to my face!

I thoroughly enjoyed creating my wish list for Christmas. Hope you all have a wonderful Holiday and happy shopping!
