Let the Holiday Shopping Begin!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year! Now it’s on to Christmas and with that comes a big after-Thanksgiving weekend. I wanted to share some of the things we are doing this year. While we had to modify our usual methods, I believe we have come up with an easy way that you can shop with us near and far.

Obviously today is Plaid Friday, the biggest shopping day of the season or all year really. In order to keep you and our team safe, we offered appointments for the craziest part of the day – 6am to 10am. In addition, we are extending the same discounts during the same time period online. As you saw in yesterday’s post, we are offering 30 percent off from 6am to 8am on all online sales, from 8am to 10am you can take 20 percent off, and from 10am to 6pm you get 10 percent off your purchases in store and online. If we see the online turnout that we did for our Holiday Unveiling, then please be patient with us as we fulfill orders.

Tomorrow, for Small Business Saturday, the city and Old Town Business are blocking off the streets from the 700 to 1100 block for restaurants to have outdoor dining and for stores to spread out a little with tents on the streets. Red Barn Mercantile will be spilling out with all our Christmas goodies, so stop by and take a socially distant look. At both stores and their respective websites, we will be giving a gift with every $50 purchase. Big caveat here: gifts are available while supplies last, so get in early!

Finally, now that we have two active websites we actually get to participate in Cyber Monday! This year we are offering free shipping anywhere in the continental U.S. and free delivery in our local delivery zones – though it won’t be next day.

Here are just a few of our favorite mementos from a momentous year. There are plenty of opportunities for you to pick one up and prep for the holidays and beyond this weekend. So, grab your laptop or your walking shoes and let the fun begin!

  • The latest from Amy
Owner Amy Rutherford started Red Barn because she wanted to deliver a service — to provide both old and new in one place. No longer will busy shoppers be limited to reproductions or forced to shop multiple flea markets for the look or gifts they want. The trick in blending old and new, vintage and modern, classic and quirky, is balance. And Amy’s knack for mixing rustic antiques with urban chic has created a look that is both fresh and familiar.

Red Barn Mercantile opened its doors in September 2007 with a single vision in mind: providing old and new to offer our customers signature whole-room designs at great prices.

We’re more than a furniture boutique and provide more personalized service than a big box retailer. We work hard to bring you the highest quality furniture and gifts, the most unique conversation starters, wall hangings and accent pieces, whether they come from off-the-beaten-track flea markets, or the latest designers.
