ironing vs. steaming
Christine: I own both a steamer and an iron. Which is least damaging to my clothing?
Sarah, Kiskadee: In terms of which is better for your clothes, I believe steaming is the way to go. You can scorch and burn your clothes with an iron, and that would be really difficult (nearly impossible) to do with a steamer! There is a reason our stores choose to steam over ironing: it requires less time, smaller equipment (no lugging the ironing board out!) and most importantly you can use it on everything, from silks to sweaters. They are so easy to use too. Just fill the tank with water, plug it in, and voila! No more nudging the iron in those tiny crevices. In fact, I’ve been looking into getting one for myself too. Go for the steamer.
