how to stay flu-free this winter (stylishly)

Flu_Sick

Whether we like it or not, the flu season is upon us. Winter is the season for those unwanted chest colds and running noses. Even though we’ve experienced some unusually warm weather for this time of year, it doesn’t mean we are out of the woods. Temperatures are up and down, and when they drop we should all be prepared so we can avoid catching those flu symptoms we all long to escape.

Nothing is worse than having to stay indoors to nurse a cold while others are out enjoying the delights of winter. Building a snowman, making snow angels, and sipping hot cocoa is what the winter season is all about. So make sure you bundle up before you head outdoors.

And just because you need to bundle up, doesn’t mean that you have to sacrifice your style. Get cozy, Coco Style, and avoid the flu in a pair of our furry earmuffs, wool hats, cashmere gloves, and infinity scarves. Pile on the layers and top your look with a coat that will keep you warm, even on the coldest of days.

Along with dressing appropriately for the weather, it’s also important to take care of yourself! Be sure to keep your hands clean, drink plenty of water, make sure you are getting eight hours of sleep, and, most importantly, get your flu shot! You may not be able to completely prevent catching a cold this time of year, but by practicing good hygiene and bundling up for the chilly weather, you’ll have a much better chance of avoiding those flu germs.

Better yet, why not elevate your chances by heading out of town to one of our favorite resort getaways? Here are our top five picks:
