Get Your Seasons Greetings Today

We recently surveyed our customers and found that 87% of them have no plans to travel, which is not at all surprising. If we won’t be seeing our family and friends, then that means we will have to send our love. And, what better way to send your love than to do it with a handwritten holiday card. The holiday newsletters will all sound the same – we stayed home, did a lot of puzzles, and we welcomed a COVID dog to the family – but that doesn’t mean they have to come in a boring package. A custom holiday card with just the right sentiment and sweet family photo keeps you connected to those you love.

As has become our Penny Post tradition, we are offering 15 percent off all custom holiday cards during the month of October. If you place your order by October 30, you have a much better chance to get those cards in time for sending heartfelt seasons greetings. Supply chains and mail are a little slower this year, so best to err on sooner rather than later.

We have a solid list of fantastic makers who have all introduced beautiful new designs this year. Crane’s classic and elegant designs epitomize the holidays in Old Town, Bella Figura’s letterpress cards are the Cadillac of holiday greetings, and Biba Stationery’s digital designs are an affordable counterpoint. Don’t forget Haute Papier’s fun and colorful cards and gift tags. Between these amazing companies, I promise there is the perfect message made just for you.

To book an in-store or virtual appointment to order your holiday cards, simply call the store at 703.888.1515 or email custom@shoppennypost.com. Here’s to getting the jump on the holidays and sending your love this season!

  • The latest from Amy
Owner Amy Rutherford started Red Barn because she wanted to deliver a service — to provide both old and new in one place. No longer will busy shoppers be limited to reproductions or forced to shop multiple flea markets for the look or gifts they want. The trick in blending old and new, vintage and modern, classic and quirky, is balance. And Amy’s knack for mixing rustic antiques with urban chic has created a look that is both fresh and familiar.

Red Barn Mercantile opened its doors in September 2007 with a single vision in mind: providing old and new to offer our customers signature whole-room designs at great prices.

We’re more than a furniture boutique and provide more personalized service than a big box retailer. We work hard to bring you the highest quality furniture and gifts, the most unique conversation starters, wall hangings and accent pieces, whether they come from off-the-beaten-track flea markets, or the latest designers.
