Dash & Albert New Introductions + Sale!

Dash & Albert

All, this is going to be a short post full of pretty things. I’m in New York for market, buying for both Red Barn Mercantile and Penny Post. Seeing all these beautiful things prompted me to share with you several of the new introductions from Dash & Albert.

We could not be more excited about all the newness and goodness they have produced.  Let’s start with my favorite, the blues.  There are so many and so many are so good.  From wool to indoor/outdoor, blue is well represented. If I had to pick a winner it would be the Homer Blue Wool rug, on the left.

Then my favorite neutral – and favorite complement to blue – is gray.  The Samson Gray is my favorite.  It comes in Blue and Brown as well, but this gray is spot on.

Sticking with the neutral theme, it might come as a surprise to those who know me, but I love the Bengal Loom wool rug.  It’s interesting, and soft (both to the touch and to the eye), and sophisticated.

Finally, they threw in a couple of sweet and a couple of colorful rugs that aren’t to be missed.  I quite like Frida Wool Rug.  It’s out of my personal comfort zone, but how fun would a room be if that rug were in it?!

As usual, we have a 2’x3’ rug in all the new introductions.  They are to buy but also to use as samples to borrow and see how they look in your space.  The best news is that this Labor Day weekend, September 1 to September 5, we will be discounting all Dash & Albert rugs by 20 percent.  I suggest coming in now to borrow rugs and find the perfect one so you’re ready to take advantage of the sale.  We will be taking phone orders that weekend if you like and shipping to your home is free!

  • The latest from Amy
Owner Amy Rutherford started Red Barn because she wanted to deliver a service — to provide both old and new in one place. No longer will busy shoppers be limited to reproductions or forced to shop multiple flea markets for the look or gifts they want. The trick in blending old and new, vintage and modern, classic and quirky, is balance. And Amy’s knack for mixing rustic antiques with urban chic has created a look that is both fresh and familiar.

Red Barn Mercantile opened its doors in September 2007 with a single vision in mind: providing old and new to offer our customers signature whole-room designs at great prices.

We’re more than a furniture boutique and provide more personalized service than a big box retailer. We work hard to bring you the highest quality furniture and gifts, the most unique conversation starters, wall hangings and accent pieces, whether they come from off-the-beaten-track flea markets, or the latest designers.
