As I joined my two partners, Gayla and Susie, on another buying trip for Coco Blanca, I thought this could be a fun journey to share with our fabulous Stylebook readers. So hop onboard with us and see what we are seeing as we shop, shop, shop. After rising at 4:30 in the morning to get ready for the early train to NY, I arrived at Union Station in time to grab a much needed coffee before our 3-1/2 hour strategizing session on Coco Blanca’s inventory needs.
As soon as we entered the Javits Center, the three of us hit the floor with an energetic pace in a methodical direction down one row after another, floor by floor. Though this was a buying trip focused on the “Home,” we did get side tracked a bit with some fashion accessories—purchasing several fun hats and scarves.
Pendants & Mushrooms
Refocusing our shopping efforts for the home, we soon began to see some trends. Several booths were displaying dangling groups of metal pendants. And mushrooms seemed to be popular as wall art, ornaments, tabletop decor and giant floor sculptures.
And then there were a few obvious booths that were simply not for Coco, which always makes it so much easier to zoom by these booths and keep on going.
So many gorgeous furniture settings with beautiful lamps and mirrors.
Using the soothing color palette of a coconut by the sea—whites, neutrals and splashes of turquoise—Coco Blanca has created a trademark look. Her lifestyle boutique offers expert solutions for home design and women’s fashion—blending a clean, fresh, sophisticated, feel-good style.
