coco blanca’s wildwood doors are open
Opening a store isn’t easy, far from it. And even though we have had a few practice runs, there are still surprises and things that happen at the last minute that are completely out of our control. As business owners, we can’t dwell on what didn’t go according to our meticulously thought out plan but rather we have to forge ahead and make things happen. And make things happen, we did indeed. Our newest location at The Wildwood Shopping Center in Bethesda, Maryland kicked off its first days of business recently without a hitch (known to the public, that is.)
After months of location hunting, buying, staffing and store setup, we finally opened the doors to the public last week. We kicked off our first night with a small intimate party for our closest family members and friends who have been there to support us from the very beginning. We finished prepping for the store for opening, literally minutes before the first guests arrived.
Luckily, no one was the wiser and the party was better than we could have ever imagined! We were overwhelmed with the turn out and the support on our first night, the kind comments and the astonishing sales numbers were just the icing on the cake. The opening party was then followed by an official Grand Opening the following day, which brought a large turn out of curious local shoppers, as well as many of our friends from Alexandria.
And for those of you who were unable to make it to either event, we wanted to share with you a sneak peak of our new store. We hope you enjoy the virtual tour but we also hope that you make the trip to Bethesda to come see it for yourself. Our staff is warm and welcoming, and there are a few new designers that we are exclusively carrying at The Wildwood location, so you might just have to come make the trip to see the new collections.
