boots: the tall and short of fall

Taking a break between shots at the photo shoot!

This past weekend, the Stylebook team got together for a photo shoot focusing on fall beauty and style trends (keep an eye out for this in the weeks to come). I selected two boots for my looks that may be different from what you already own. Each was clean and classic but had that subtle detail element that makes one take notice.

Fringe is everywhere this fall. The Monet from 10 Crosby by Derek Lam in suede was a must for our trend selections. This bootie keeps the trend elegant and clean and the suede version was a masterful choice by The Shoe Hive (it comes in leather as well).

Here’s one way to transition into fall using the Monet with items from Coco Blanca (top) and Kiskadee (taupe denim).

My heart officially belongs to the Stuart Weitzman Guard Quilted Boot for fall. There is just enough interest to this boot and it retains a classic quality. The heel height is perfect for anyone who is on the go and it looks great for both casual and dressy occasions. Well worth the price (they are an investment item that you can wear for years or consign after a few years and retain some of the value back.

The look below is very NY chic all together (this would be something I would wear to the city for work and then be able to transition to evening with a change of shoes). Separately, these are all great items to co-mingle with what you already own. Silk top and sweater from Kiskadee. Leggings from The Shoe Hive.
