ask stylebook: what to wear with skinny jeans?
Wendy: What alternative shoe is there to wear with skinny pants and track pants (you know, pants that have a cuffed hem) other than high heels and boots? I am not 30 years old and would love to wear something I can walk a distance in with my skinny jeans. I will wear short boots when it is colder but for now what are my options?
Cathy, Style Speaks: I’m a big fan of skinny pants and the thing I love most about them is that you can wear any shoe with them. Really! As you mentioned, they look great with heels or tucked into boots or booties for fall but you can also pair them with ballet flats or low wedges. If your pants are more casual, you can even go with a pair of driving shoes or stylish sneakers. Experiment, knowing you really can’t go wrong!
