what to wear: to work on summer days
I don’t work in an office anymore, but I did for a long time. It can be really tough to figure out what to wear when it is crazy hot outside, freezing inside and you have to look professional. Men have it so much easier. Three of our stores teamed up to put together an effortless and appropriate look for the office as temperatures continue to rise. The top is from Kiskadee and the skirt is from Zoe–a weightier sleeveless top looks infinitely more put together than a basic cotton tank, and while the camera didn’t love the tiny pinstripe on the A-line skirt, you will! If you can pull off an open-toed flat at the office like this one from Kiskadee, go for it. If not, there are plenty of great closed-toe flats too. Finally, scarves will be your saving grace. This one from The Shoe Hive can be used to cover your shoulders if you’re chilly or if the CEO walks in for a brief moment and you want to step up your game. The rule for summer dressing is simple: if you can wear it to the beach or the pool (tank tops, shorts, flip flops, etc.), don’t wear it to the office, no matter how you “style” it.
