what to wear: rainy days
Is anyone else sick of looking at the forecast to see that rain will be coming our way for another week straight? Seems like we have been seeing way more showers these days than we have sunshine. What happened to warm and sunny summer days? On the bright side, our gardens are in full bloom and our yards couldn’t be any more lush but we would like the sun to make an appearance sometime soon! Since you can’t change the weather and Mother Nature will do what she is going to do, we have to adapt and just because it’s storming out doesn’t mean you can’t still look put together and stylish.
Since the weather started to take a turn for the worse, we all purchased our new water-resistant anoraks. They have been an absolute life saver! They are light weight, the sleeves can be rolled up or down and there is a convertible hood tucked in the back. This little jacket is perfect to keep close by when there is a chance of rain and it’s just the icing on the cake that they look super stylish too. Of course when the light rain turns into a torrential down-pour we recommend grabbing a large umbrella to help shelter you from the conditions and since your rain jacket is so on point, we think your umbrella should be too.
We absolutely love this combo on Gayla’s daughter/model Carly Reed. She looks uber chic yet still summery in this neutral color palette. She is ready to take on the rain in her off white anorak and her sunflower umbrella and she couldn’t look any better while doing so. So when you go to get dressed during these stormy days, make sure you still reach for those summery items. Just because it’s dark and dreary outside doesn’t mean you have to dress that way and when the sun starts peaking out from behind the clouds, you will be happy that you can just put away your umbrella and take off your anorak to enjoy the beautiful summer day ahead.
