“What’s black, white, and trending all over?” Although the idea isn’t groundbreaking, Black and White is one of this summer’s hottest trends. Once April comes around, we tend to dash for our neons and pastels, desperate to brighten up our seemingly drab winter repertoire. While I’m not suggesting that we ditch color entirely by any means, let’s mix it up by giving the black and white trend a fresh, modern makeover. Black and White—basic? No. Classic? Definitely. Think old movies. Isn’t there just something timeless and fascinating about “Casablanca,” aside from Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman’s undeniable chemistry on screen? It’s no coincidence, people.
No two tones play off each other better, providing the perfect contrast to one another as well as to your typical summer wardrobe. This summer, break with convention. Life may not be black and white, but it doesn’t mean your outfit can’t be!
