Our Top Picks for the Week of January 8, 2018

This week we focus on the little extras that make the chilly, gray days of winter feel a little more special. From a lace-up top to quilted totes, from ethereal, shimmering highlighter to simple-yet-special studs, from a romantic and dramatic floral dress to a stylish way to get a better look at things, our top picks are a welcome distraction from the wind chill. And if winter is still a bit too much for you, we’ve got a whimsical wine glass perfect for rosé to recall those beach-y summer memories.

Celeste: Obsession alert! This top from Bailey44 is full of details…the comfy gray knit, flow-y back, and, of course, the ties! What else do you need? Nothing! (Available at Kiskadee, $181)

Angela: The statement-making Neo-Limelight Ibiza highlighter by Kevyn Aucoin combines three luminous shades into one gorgeous gradient design, bathing the skin in radiant, multi-dimensional light. (Available at Bellacara, $58)

Meaghan: When it’s this cold out, I tend to fall into a fairly uniform dress code of skinny black jeans, wool socks, a cashmere sweater (or two!), and boots. Pretty straightforward and to the point of keeping me warm. I similarly seek out basic accessories that I don’t need to change out on a daily basis, so lately I’ve been sporting my Shape Shifter Studs in 14 karat yellow gold. These add just enough of a flash of gold to elevate things, and their unique shapes bring a hint of interest to an otherwise subtle design. Slap on some red lipstick I’m ready. In 14 karat yellow, rose, or white gold. (Available at Alexandria and Company, $95)

Elizabeth: We are happy to introduce Vee Collective bags to The Hive. Designed in Germany buy a husband and wife team, these bags are made out of a ripstop nylon that is lightweight, durable, and water resistant. The signature quilting and leather detail make them chic enough for your every day bag and the function of the design makes them great for travel and the gym. Shown here, the medium tote bag. (Available at The Hive, $195)

Gayla: The Edwin magnifying glass is ideal for general magnification; the large, fixed-glass lens has a sturdy metal frame on a three-legged base. Great for home office, kitchen, or anywhere you want to focus on the task at hand. (Available at Coco Blanca)

Amy: If you have a definitive position on screw cap vs, cork then this is the glass for you. Display your unofficial sommelier status with pride with our Wine Snob glass. (Available at Red Barn Mercantile, $14)

Alicia: Anyone headed out of town to escape the coldest winter EVER?! Let us live vicariously through you. Pack the floral Cordelia maxi dress by Banjanan and send us a picture of you wearing it anywhere where the temperatures are above 70 degrees! (Available at TSALT, $555)
