Looking for something fun to do on St. Patrick’s Day? How about something that includes shopping and the latest runway fashions from Alexandria’s best boutiques—all while supporting one of Alexandria’s best charities? Join Junior Friends of The Campagna Center at Belle Haven Country Club, 6:30pm, Thursday, March 17th, for its annual Toast to Fashion and welcome spring with an evening of sipping, shopping, celebrating fashion, and supporting The Campagna Center.
This premier evening, now in its 16th year, is hosted by the Junior Friends of The Campagna Center, a fundraising arm made up of 140+ local Alexandria women (including myself!). This is my favorite event of the year because it brings together all the favorite Alexandria retailers and friends as we show our love and support for The Campagna Center, and the incredible work they do in providing crucial services to the community.

The evening will feature local Alexandrians, Junior Friends, and even some husbands (!!) walking the runway in the fashions of Alexandria Stylebook contributors Coco Blanca, The Shoe Hive, and Kiskadee, along with other Alexandria retailers including Bishop Boutique, Duchess M., Gossip on 23rd, Hysteria, Periwinkle, The Lucky Knot, The Pink Palm, Sara Campbell, Top It Off, and J Hilburn.

Darby Rush, co-owner of Kiskadee, has long been a supporter of Toast to Fashion, and loves styling local women for the runway: “The Campagna Center is such an important part of Alexandria! It serves a portion of the population that needs assistance day in and day out. The Junior Friends and supporting friends who make up this organization give tirelessly to the cause. Alexandria businesses, including Kiskadee, are proud to help any way we can. We all love working with the lovely ladies of The Campagna Center.”
Speaking of lovely ladies, this year Toast to Fashion is being chaired by Evie Cartwright and Jeanne Murphy Barton. It’s their first time and they’ve been working so hard, I asked Darby to style them and make them feel like models (and give us a little teaser of the kinds of style you’ll see on the Toast to Fashion runway!).
Evie is wearing a gorgeous gold dress is by Guru-NYC, with shoes by Ann Marino (only $69!). The Sail to Sable camel tweed dress Jeanne is rocking is super easy and comfortable. Her fabulous tie-up espadrilles are by Joie. All accessories are available at Kiskadee.

The evening also offers a silent auction and a marketplace with local merchants selling jewelry, accessories, cosmetics, bags, home décor, and more.
Tickets are $60 in advance, available here, or can be purchased for $65 at the door. 100 percent of the evening’s proceeds will go to The Campagna Center. Tickets are limited, so be sure to get them early!
