The Perfect Sweater
I haven’t had the most quintessential COVID-19 experience. Sure I have missed out on travel, haven’t been able to see friends, missed weddings, and haven’t hugged my grandfather in almost a year. It’s been real, but working retail has meant I am still going into the store. Work life as I know it didn’t really change. I’m not chained inside my house, stuck on zoom, with a nice blouse on top and sweatpants on the bottom. I felt like I was missing out… I recently discovered I am not!
I was recently exposed to COVID and had a nice long 10-day quarantine before my test came back negative. Besides missing social interaction, I really missed getting dressed. I became the all-day pajama girl and I didn’t recognize myself.
Here at The Hive and The Shoe Hive, we have been speaking to our love of loungewear and put-together-looking comfy clothes. While the love is real… we haven’t necessarily been there.
