Thanksgiving Floral Trends

If you’re anything like me, you blinked, and October disappeared. Somehow the holidays are just around the corner, which means many of us are in full planning mode. If setting the perfect Thanksgiving table is on your list, stay tuned for the 2019 floral trends and innovations- hopefully some of which will inspire your inner Martha.

Browns and Taupes

Move over color, neutrals are all the rage! This season we’re loving gorgeous shades of browns paired with neutral blooms. It’s a sophisticated spin on fall and matches with nearly every home’s décor. We’re also partial to a few brown feathers in our centerpieces which are an unexpected and playful touch.

Fruit & Flowers

A favorite design element in our shop for the holidays! We love blending pears, mini apples, and pomegranates into our table centerpieces.

Fresh Floral Wreaths

Nothing welcomes guests quite like a gorgeous fresh floral wreath for your front door. We love mixing seasonal greens- many of which we cut from our own backyards- with dried hydrangea, pods, mini pumpkins, and whatever gorgeous blooms are around the studio. An elegant addition to any holiday home.

Dried Tablescapes

If fresh flowers aren’t your thing, consider using gorgeous dried elements to create a one-of-a-kind tablescape. Pictured are dried hydrangrea, dried artichokes, pods, wheat, greens, a few mini white pumpkins, and driftwood. The best part? Aside from the pumpkins, the entire look is reusable again next year.

Personalized Touches

Our favorite finishing touch is a personalized place card. From magnolia leaves to mini pumpkins, there are tons of unique options. Grab a gold sharpie and dazzle your guests with this quick- and impressive- addition to your table. Not in love with your own handwriting? Luckily, Old Town is home to a few talented calligraphers who can make quick work of escort cards and pumpkins. Our favorites are Meant To Be Calligraphy and LH Calligraphy.

Want to get your hands on beautiful flowers this Thanksgiving? Our holiday collection will be available on our website for pre-orders starting this week. We’ll also have samples on display at the Holiday Pop Up Shop at The Shoe Hive on November 14th. May your holiday be full of friends, family, and beautiful flowers!
