spring bedroom refresh

It’s officially spring and we’re completely in in refresh mode! If you’re like us, something about the sunshine and crisp air this time of year provides major motivation to clean out and update around the house. And, this year we’re urging you to focus on a space that is often overlooked when updating — your master bedroom. It may not be the area of your home that is the most visible or has the most traffic, but it is where you begin and end your day and making it comfortable and serene can have a big impact on your mental state.

An excellent place to being updating in the bedroom is with fresh linens.  We recommend a crisp Egyptian cotton percale for spring and summer and some of our favorite options come from the Matouk line, which offers high quality in a vast array of styles. You can keep things a simple as a white hemstitch or branch out by adding a colorful trim!

Another way to really add some luxury to you sleeping experience is by treating yourself to a new down comforter, pillow, or mattress pad. In the shop, we offer a high quality bedding line that allows you to make selections based personal sleeping preferences. For example, we would recommend a summer weight comforter and silk filled mattress pad for anyone who sleeps hot during these warmer months. And, for those with allergies, a 100 percent natural cotton mattress pad with a quality down alternative pillow and comforter.

Finally, spring always has us in the mood for florals and color. And, we can’t help but to leave you with two beautiful ways to incorporate those elements into you bedroom! We are absolutely loving the charlotte pattern, from LuLu DK for Matouk, which comes in the most beautiful shade of lavender.

And we can’t get over these gorgeous floral inspired ceramic lamps, which would be perfect on just about any nightstand!
