We also have a personal propensity toward gold. Of course, there is something incredibly luxurious and exotic about yellow gold, but it also warms a color palette and your skin tone.
But really it comes down to this: a metallic–any metallic–is a neutral and can be worn on anyone, with anything. You’ll read articles about finding the right metallic for your complexion, and magazines that state that gold is better with warmer colors and silver better complements the cooler ones. We like to complicate things in fashion when they don’t need to be complicated. A metallic is a neutral and you should wear whatever you love. Gold is trendier right now, but silver is classic. If you still have doubts about a particular look, here’s an easy fix: wear them together. There’s nothing we love more than a good mix of metallics!
