Save the Date! Coco at the DC Design House 2016

2016 DC Design House

Coco Blanca is thrilled to once again be a part of the DC Design House, an annual designer showhouse that benefits Children’s National Health System. As one of four boutiques invited into the DC Design House, we are excited that our pop-up shop, with both décor and apparel items, will give guests a flavor of our store – but, since a portion of all purchases will be donated, even more excited that we will be able to continue our support of Children’s National Health System and the important work that it does.  Over the last three years, we are proud to have contributed more than $20,000 to this wonderful charity.

The 9th Annual DC Design House is located at 2509 Foxhall Road, NW, Washington, D.C., 20007 and will be open October 1 to 30, 2016.  General admission tickets can be purchased here for $35. Coco will be at the house Tuesday through Sunday daily. This is the first time the DC Design House will be open during the fall, which gave us the chance to stock the pop-up shop with special items that will make wonderful holiday gifts.

If you are not familiar with the DC Design House, it is well worth a visit. Dozens of interior design firms, architects, and landscapers compete for a chance to participate in the home, each submitting a board depicting their vision of how they would transform a particular space. The winning designs span the spectrum of interior styles, and experiencing the final designs in person is like stepping into the pages of a shelter magazine or walking through an HGTV reveal: simply transporting and completely entertaining.

This year’s house is expected to be spectacular. Listed at $10.8 million by Nancy Itteilag of Washington Fine Properties, the five-story, 11,242 square-foot home includes seven bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, two half baths, three kitchens, five fireplaces, sauna, exercise and party rooms, wine cellar, elevator, plus an infinity pool. Built in 2010 by Gibson Builders and situated on a three-quarter-acre lot in the Wesley Heights/Berkley neighborhood, the home, designed by GTM Architects, most recently was the temporary residence of the French Ambassador while his house was undergoing renovations. It is also next door to the 2013 DC Design House location.

We hope you stop in to visit and shop with us!
