It’s mid-October which means it is 100 percent socially acceptable to be planning for holiday décor. We actually listed all holiday goods in our online shop back in September, but now we’re ready for full-blown holiday mood.
Our year-round focuses at Laura Hooper Calligraphy are wedding stationery & handwritten calligraphy, as well as teaching the art of pointed pen through in-person and online courses. However, we’re now at our personal favorite time of year where we are happily buried in pumpkins and ornaments that we custom personalize by hand. We ship worldwide but also offer convenient (and free!) pickup here locally at our Old Town Alexandria studio.
The full-size pumpkins are perfect for porch décor, mantle installations, bar carts & of course your Thanksgiving tabletop. The mini-pumpkins make perfect “place cards” for your holiday dinner as well. Your guests will love seeing their name beautifully hand-lettered and it’s such a lovely keepsake.
Our custom ornaments are a memorable way to mark any life events from the past year including engagements, weddings, baby’s 1st Christmas & more. We offer a variety of colors and styles to suit your preferred Christmas color-scheme and of course, each one is personalized by hand.

Laura Hooper Calligraphy has got you covered with both in-person workshops {right here in Old Town Alexandria!} as well as a starter kit plus video tutorial for at-home learning. Our online calligraphy shop is fully curated with the supplies we use daily that we know will work well together.
In addition to teaching and sharing calligraphy with students around the world, sisters Laura Hooper & Alyssa Law also serve wedding clients with custom stationery design and production as well as handwritten calligraphy services for envelopes, escort cards, place cards and more.
