the perfect coffee table

I think anyone who has decorated a family room or living room has struggled with finding the perfect coffee table. I remember searching for my first nice coffee table. I looked all over Georgetown and Old Town. It was a fun adventure on which a very patient friend embarked with me. I ended up with a beautiful glass top table from Baker in Georgetown. Of course, that was many years ago. There are so many beautiful choices out there and now Coco Blanca has many to offer as well.
Coco Blanca believes the coffee table is a crucial piece of furniture that sets the tone in the living room or family room. It needs to be appropriately functional for your family, it needs to be the right size, and of course it needs to look pretty! Good traffic flow is important too. Two feet or more of space all the way around seems to work. It should be close enough to reach for your drink or book. Standard height is typically around 16 to 18 inches but for entertaining a taller table of 20 or 21 inches may be best. If you are conflicted about how big you should go and you have the space to work with: go bigger. It makes a better statement in the room.
Opposite styles attract when selecting the perfect coffee table. A heavier wood or base table may be best with a long narrow sofa. An oversized plush couch would call for a more sleek glass style coffee table with metal base. Glass tables are easy to clean and no worries about leaving drinks on it. The colors of a rug or one of our animal skin rugs will show through and not be covered up. One of our favorite coffee tables is the acrylic and glass top table.
