The Patterson Group’s Top 5 Gifts + Stocking Stuffers of 2016
Even though I order some gifts online, I am always grateful for the well-stocked Alexandria boutiques that help me out when I need some guidance or don’t trust things to ship in a timely manner. During the holidays, I try to shop local as much as possible—and I avoid malls at all costs.
The Alexandria real estate market didn’t slow down for us this winter, so this holiday season totally snuck up on the members of The Patterson Group. Luckily, we had some go-to’s in mind that made holiday shopping pretty easy. Below are five things we loved in 2016 that became obvious choices for gifts for our friends, family, and clients.
1. VINEBOX Twelve Nights of Wine
Count down to Christmas with a different glass of wine every night for the twelve nights leading up to December 25th. This year, I got a VINEBOX for some of my wine-loving teammates…and obviously for myself, too. The box includes reds and whites from varied regions that come in little tubes perfectly portioned for a nightly glass. It has been so much fun to test my palate and learn about some wines I had never heard of before. An advent calendar for adults? Don’t mind if I do!
2. S’well Bottles

We thought you couldn’t go wrong with something that keeps drinks cold for 24 hours and hot for 12 and also reduces the number of plastic bottles dumped into landfill sites every year.

4. Himalayan Rock Salt Lamps
We have these in our office for those days when we really need some good vibes! The heated salt naturally ionizes the air and the pretty glow makes the room feel instantly warmer.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: South Block Juice Co. is amazing. Their smoothies and acai bowls are so fresh and natural that I always feel refreshed and energized after eating there. The Del Ray location now offers three different kinds of toast (avocado, banana and strawberry), too…as though I needed any more reason to stop by South Block.
