Break Into the New Year with a Fashionable Look
The holiday season is filled with laughter, family, and cheer so the last thing we want to be worried about is what to do with our hair! Today we will discuss the many different ways to easily enhance your beauty and break into the new year with a new fashionable yet timeless look. Our favorite looks range from bronze highlights, low-lighted blonde tresses, curtain bangs, and blunt bobs…just to name a few. Best of all, there are a variety of broad options so there’s something that will work for almost any head of hair.
The first style we’ll touch on are the Bardot or “curtain” bangs. This look was popularized on American television in the 1950s and has been making a major comeback as we head into 2020. The bangs are a mid-length and add the right amount of sexy and fun to any hair style. Plus it’s always fun to see a nostalgic look come back into style.
Bronze highlights are another look to add to the list of possibilities this winter. They range from golden, to darker bronzes and honey tones and are great for brunettes. It’s the perfect way to brighten up your hair without over processing and is a way to add natural sun kissed highlights without the maintenance of having to touch it up every eight weeks as they tend to grow out effortlessly and smooth.
If you have blonde hair, the winter season is the time to take advantage of adding a low light technique to your highlights. This allows the brighter blonde to be toned down to a more natural shade and still maintain some brightness. The technique allows the blonde highlights to grow out more naturally, so when it’s time to come back into the salon for a touch up the roots do not look too grown out.
Lastly, the blunt straight bob is still thriving! It’s a look that works for most hair types and colors. It’s also a chic and low maintenance style. The blunt bob can work with a deep middle part or a nice deep side part, and looks great curled or perfectly straight for all of your holiday festivities.
