Wedding season has officially kicked off in Alexandria, and if you have been by the Old Town Waterfront any Saturday over the past few weeks, you would certainly agree! However, my favorite part of any wedding is actually the proposal. Getting engaged can be so magical.
Each person views a “magical engagement” differently – some people dream of getting engaged at Walt Disney World or a destination engagement, while others want to celebrate with loved ones and friends – but here are my top picks when I think about the perfect proposal.
1. A Tropical Island
Nothing says romance quite like a relaxing trip to the islands. Propose while sipping champagne at sunset to make the night even more magical.
2. A Hot Air Balloon Ride
Make your engagement memorable by doing something you’ve always wanted to do – such as taking a hot air balloon ride. Be careful not to drop the ring over the side!
3. At the Eiffel Tower
If you’ve ever been to Paris, you’re probably familiar with the lawn in front of the Eiffel Tower. Pack a picnic and spend the day relishing your loved one’s company with a remarkable view.
