Dahan launched Joe’s Jeans on the heels of a successful T-shirt line for Barneys back in 2001, when the premium denim market was in its infancy. “When I came to (the LA) market, every brand that was out there had just one specific fit,” said Dahan. When developing his first collection, Dahan cast upwards of 500 fit models. “Out of those 500, there were eight different body types (and) I knew we had to create different fits for all those different women,” said Dahan. Over the next few years, Dahan personally oversaw thousands of fittings and worked to perfect the Joe’s Jeans aesthetic.
