Back to School may mean one thing to your kids, but it means another to you: a really long day. It means that after a long day at work or home you are going to have to spend several more hours with teachers and other parents discussing what is ahead of you and your children this year. It is important that you leave the house that morning in something you can wear all day, something that looks put together but not like you’re trying too hard.

For a feminine touch, add a handbag from the new-to-the-Hive line Kelly Wynne (trunk show starts on Friday). Your makeup may be the most important part of all of this. Start that morning with Smashbox’s Photo Finish from Bellacara so that your makeup will last all day. You won’t need to do anything beforehand but swipe on Jouer’s lipstick in Elizabeth–just enough color to demonstrate that you’ve made an effort. Good luck!
