going to market

Honestly? Going to market is every bit as fun and exciting as you think it is. All of the beautiful clothes, sparkling accessories, creative designs! But it is a lot of hard work in order to make it a successful buying trip.
When Neil and I go to market whether it be in New York, Atlanta, or Las Vegas, we are always keeping customers’ wants and needs in mind. We look for exciting, new designs at a great price point–not always easy to find! We look for clothes to fit all ages, shapes and sizes. We understand that people come to our store because they want something unique…they do NOT want to see the cute dress they just purchased walking in the room on someone else.
The mark of a great trip is when we find a little something for everyone who walks in the door. Our goal is always to make each and every customer feel wonderful about themselves.
The thing I enjoy most about going to market is when we stumble upon a new designer with amazing clothes. I am just like a kid at Christmas…I can’t wait for the package of new merchandise to arrive and to show it to my customers (and maybe pick a little something for myself). I think my least favorite thing about going to market is finding something truly amazing I want to buy for the store but find it to be out of our price range. Just like any shopper, falling in love with something that you can’t afford is no fun!
