Whatever your reason, custom designs and redesigns are always a great idea. In fact, one of our favorite things to do here at Mystique is create custom pieces for our clients. We love working one-on-one to create a piece that is unique and special.
Many of our customers come in with older pieces of jewelry that they either do not wear anymore or no longer need. We talk with them about their particular jewelry style, likes and dislikes, and are able to create a brand new design out of the pieces they bring in. Our wonderful resident master goldsmith, Ivan, creates works of art every day here at Mystique and will turn your creative vision into a reality.
Ivan’s workspace is where all the magic happens. He creates custom rings, bracelets, you name it — from resizing rings to creating pieces from scratch, we are very fortunate to have such a wonderful artist working with us.
Recently, one of our clients brought in this gold necklace and diamond ring and wanted us to create this fabulous wide diamond band, old world byzantine style eternity ring.
There is a lot that goes into creating these handmade pieces. First, Ivan has to create, by dimension, a wax molding of the design the client desires.
Once the wax cutting is created, Ivan will melt the gold (or other material) down and then cast the piece. It is from this wax the jewelry of their dreams will start to come to life.
