Building Blocks for Seating
I saw this very cool sectional sofa at High Point Market and haven’t forgotten about it, the concept is so fun and the look is so chic. Called Format, it’s new from Bernhardt for Fall 2017, and is designed for people who want creative seating options.
Let’s say the guys are coming over to hunker down and watch the Redskins, then the next week you are hosting a fundraiser cocktail party for your favorite charity. Either way you are set with this new Format concept. Comprised of five different pieces, you can mix as many pieces as you like in any formation then move them around like building blocks as the occasion requires. Whether you are in the suburbs or in the city, large space or small, this concept will work for you.
Each piece features firm inner coil seating for maximum support and comfort. Format is covered in removable, top-stitch, flanged slipcovers. The featured fabric is washable — a stonewashed cotton-poly blend with a shibori dip-dyed effect in a sea salt coloration — and perfect if you have kids and dogs. Format will also be available in other Bernhardt fabrics.
Five pieces can be combined in any formation: an L-shape sectional, a large family from sofa, a center-facing conversation pit, an all sides facing gathering area, et cetera. The higher arm/back pieces are designed for perching.
