Plaid Friday in Old Town During COVID
We’ve had a lot of inquiries this year about how we will be handling Plaid Friday (Old Town’s take on Black Friday). In years past, we have had a rolling discount and we will this year as well. Our entire store is 20 percent off from 6am to 8am; 15 percent off from 8am to 10am; and 10 percent off the remainder of the day. The items in store are available on a first come, first served basis. We don’t have the option to hold items because someone who shows up at 6am may not find what they got up early for. However, this generally means that the store is pretty crowded from 6am to 8am. This presents a problem during this COVID reality of social distancing. So, how are we going to address it?
The best way we have come up with is the following. If you would like to pre-order items from lines we know we can restock easily and are willing to wait for those items to be ordered after Black Friday, you may email us this form to info@bellacara.com and pre-order the following lines to receive the 20 percent off. You may also call us to give us your pre-order over the phone and provide your credit card information. Gift sets and holiday items are limited and may not be included in this offer. The lines available for this offer are Augustinus Bader, Skinceuticals, Dermalogica, Oribe, Bumble and Bumble, Westman Atelier (holiday and limited-edition sets, excluded), and Molton Brown.
For those of you who want the entire store at 20 percent off but don’t want to be there when there are crowds, you may come in between 6am and 8am and get a ticket that allows you to come back any time during the day and receive 20 percent off your purchase. Of course, items will be limited to what’s available at that time. We will, however, honor the pre-order of items in the list above as well when you’re shopping. The same offer will apply to the 8am to 10am time slot if you just don’t want to get up too early. Tickets for 15 percent off will be handed out during that time and you may come back at any time throughout the day to use it.
