Be Mine on the Water and Support Alexandria Seaport Foundation

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, so let’s show love by supporting a local charity: The Seaport Foundation!

Join me on February 11th as I host Be Mine on the Water supporting Alexandria Seaport. This unique virtual event will feature wine from Brut Wine Bar, paired with delicious gourmet chocolate, and my husband Geoff making his big comedy debut! Seriously, you won’t want to miss this.

Be Mine on the Water, pre-covid known as Wine on the Water, is happening this week, Thursday, February 11th, from 7:30pm – 8:15pm from the comfort of your own home! For 45 fabulous minutes we’ll make fundraising fun!

The event’s fundraising goal is $65,000. We’ll achieve this through ticket purchases, a live auction with entertainment, and fund a need. The auction includes an exclusive golf package, two night stay in St. Michaels with a private boat tour, and three night stay in Wintergreen. All money raised will go towards overall operation costs and apprentice costs, including daily lunches, academic materials for GED testing, project materials, uniforms, and apprentice salaries. Additionally, Seaport is in the beginning phases of raising funds for our new and expanded facility – which will allow us to bring on additional apprentices and thus change more lives.

The Seaport Foundation serves 16-22 year-olds who need a new start, equipping them with a safe haven to learn life skills, one-on-one mentoring, and project-based learning. From job skills like teamwork, working with supervisors, and communication to personal skills like personal finance, timeliness, and confidence, The Seaport Foundation provides young apprentices with support to transform their lives and preparement for a bright future.

Won’t you be mine this Thursday in support of an amazing foundation that dedicates time and resources to encourage and sponsor young apprentices of our community?
