American Made

Did you know the majority of the jewelry at both The Shoe Hive and The Hive is handcrafted right here in the United States?  Individual artists make all of the jewelry featured in this post, and their pieces show their unique personalities and backgrounds. So while the artists are each inspired by different events, places in the world, and time periods, they all share one thing in common: each piece is made with love in the United States. Our stores are proud to help promote these artists and sell their beautiful pieces. We’re even more proud when our customers are truly happy after they purchase a fabulous piece!

Odette at The Hive

Established in 2006, Odette is a Brooklyn, New York-based jewelry line. All of the jewelry starts as a sketch designed by Jennifer Sarkilhti, the designer and a George Mason University graduate. Organic shapes, ancient symbols, and primitive forms inspire many of her designs. Her sketches of the jewelry are turned into hand carved wax forms, which are filled with the metal of choice and turned into her beautiful jewelry pieces.
