So I admit, it was a bit of a girl crush, or maybe I just want to be her. Who can blame me? She is a natural beauty with impossibly high cheekbones and granddaughter of the legendary Estee Lauder. Ironically, she looked as though she had on no makeup, but maybe that is the secret of Estee Lauder.
She is about as close to royalty as an American can be. She was born into a lifestyle of privilege and wealth that most of us will never experience. However, Aerin has become, in her own right, a stylesetter and tastemaker gracing almost every style magazine there is and is never left off any New York socialite’s list.
She also has her grandmother’s entrepreneurial spirit. After two decades with her family’s firm, Aerin Lauder has launched her own sophisticated brand, much in line with Estee’s style, but with a current twist. Her grandmother’s amazing taste shines through her own effortless style as she introduces her new lines of beautiful things for the home including a line of lighting called “Aerin” through Visual Comfort.
I had the great pleasure of meeting this new American Icon at the Visual Comfort showroom at High Point Market last week. Did I mention she is actually very sweet and nice too!
