how to: achieve the perfect blow out…two ways

A few weeks ago, we met up with two of Bazzak Salon‘s best stylists to get a tutorial on achieving the perfect blow out…two ways. Looking for major curl? Set down the curling iron. It’s all done with a twist of the brush. Craving straight, shiny locks? Bazzak taught us that one too. Here are two videos with step-by-step instructions, as well as the recommended products that will extend your blow out for days!

Voluminous Curl

Step One: On brushed, wet hair, apply a heat protectant hair primer. It’s your first step for any style! Bazzak’s Pillow Proof Dry Express Primer with Heat Protection cuts blow dry time, protects from heat, helps reduce breakage and provides 24-hour lasting volume without weighing hair down.

Step Two: If you have naturally curly hair, use a straightening gel to reduce frizz and humidity. Tip: Work the gel from bottom to top so that if you have too much on your hands, only the bottom strands will be affected.

Step Three: Pre-dry the hair using your hands until your hair is about 90% dry.

Step Four: Section the hair and begin drying with a thick round brush.

Step Five: Direct the air straight up for maximum volume.

Step Six: Here’s the key to great curl! Release the hair from the brush in a swirling motion. It might take a few times to get it right, but it will be worth the effort!

Straight and Shiny

Steps One through Four are the same.

Step Five: For smooth roots, hold hair taut and direct the air downward.

Step Six: Here’s the key to straight hair that doesn’t look flat. Dry the top sections in the opposite direction of hair growth to increase volume at the roots!

One Final Tip: Bazzak’s Pillow Proof Blow Dry Two Day Extender will extend the life of your blow out by two days minimum. Elizabeth swears it extends hers much longer and the stylists who taught us these tricks both use the product themselves!

I watched this video and then followed it exactly and LOVE IT! I can’t believe I have been doing my hair wrong all these years. It took me longer than my usual but the results are so much better that I will give myself the time to do it. I do believe that the hair products you use play a big part in this too and I do use really good product, but I have been using it for a couple of months and while my hair felt sensational with the new product the blow-out was just okay. Now, with both of these new tools in my “beauty bag” I am ecstatic! Silky but with body and style. Yes, the back of your head is a bit more difficult but use smaller sections and it will go faster. Rest your arm a bit if you need to but don’t give up. Honestly, I was astonished that I had been able to do that to my own hair.
