4 Tips To Style Your Kitchen Island

Most of our kitchens open to our  family rooms, making styling the kitchen island an important task — one that can be daunting since styling needs to work from all angles, especially if your kitchen island is larger. Here are a few simple suggestions. (And click here if you missed yesterday’s post about the best stools for your kitchen island.)

Use vases…

Or even a collection. A collection of vases of varying heights makes a nice statement anywhere in your home, but especially on the kitchen island since it will be a focal point.

Or a large tray…

Use a large tray to display your flowers and vases. Here you can put flowers in a vase, fruit in a bowl, then a prized piece of ceramic that will add texture to your room. I love the bowl of lemons to add a pop of color.

And add something green

Find a pretty bowl (or even a cutting board!) and add something green. Think limes, apples, or artichokes.

A large arrangement of mostly green leaves will create drama and add a wow factor in the room.

And there is nothing prettier than an arrangement of hydrangeas in a clear vase.

Find unique pieces

If you are a collector of unique, pretty pieces such as these, fill them up with seasonal fruit and vegetables. This is gorgeous.
